Slide Back Saturday - Winter Wonderland dsp. Stampin Up.

Thank you for popping by for another of my Slide Back Saturdays.
I really enjoy doing these because it encourages me to use some of my old stamp sets and papers that otherwise remain gathering dust on my shelves. I know i should sell them once retired but some of them i just can't part with and lets face it, not everyone has the funds to keep changing products. So hopefully for those of you out there that are like me and like to hang onto some of your favourite things this will encourage you to use them too.

Today i have 3 cards all using the same 'Winter Wonderland' designer series papers.
This was absolutely my favourite set of Autumn / Winter papers that Stampin Up have ever made.

The first card measures 5x5 inches. I've used a piece of the dsp to cover the card base. Before gluing it to the card i laid across 2 lengths of ribbon / sequin trim and glued it to the back of the dsp with some 'fast fuse' so it would stay in place.
Next i used a dimensional in the center of a gold 'foil snowflake' and placed it onto the card.
In 'Basic Black' i stamped 'Peace on Earth' from the 'Carols of Christmas' stamp set. Using a square stitched framelit to cut it out gave a nice even border and straight edges.
*My tip* stamp the image first before cutting it out as it's much easier to align the space either side of your stamped image than it is to try stamping into a centre of the square when already cut.
This then is mounted onto the card sitting slightly to the left, it allows more of the snowflake to show but also helps cover the dimensional used to attach the snowflake.

If you wanted to step it up you could heat emboss the wording.

The next card is much simpler and quicker to make.
Measuring 4x4 inches it again uses the same dsp to cover the card base.

A gold foil snowflake is placed in the center of the card and this time i have used the word 'JOY' from the 'Cheers to the Year' stamp set.
It is stamped in basic black and the outer edge pattern i have used some gold ink from my stash to match the paper colours.
A circle die is used to cut out and then popped up on a dimensional into the middle of the snowflake.  Super quick and easy.

Lastly this cute card only measures 3x3 inches when folded and uses the same basic design as the cards i showed you the other day. If you haven't seen them you can take a look HERE and it also tells you the scoring measurements needed.

These really are easy to make and i love how they show off the fabulous dsp.

The 'large letter' framelits in the gold glimmer paper give a fantastic festive feel.

Which card design do you prefer?

I hope these will inspire you to have a go and use up some of your papers too, not only do you get to show friends and family the gorgeous papers when they receive your card but also it makes more room in your craft space for you to buy more. Win, win i'd say!
