Magical Mermaid - Stampin Up
What little girl doesn't believe in magical things like mermaids? The 'Magical Mermaids' stamp set is lovely for making girly cards. Taking 'Sahara Sand' ink to stamp the shells along the bottom i then used 'Soft Sky' to create some gentle bubbles / splodges. A mix of 'Pear Pizzaz' and 'Old Olive' inks give a more realistic effect to the seaweed. Stampin the mermaid in 'Basic Black' i then coloured her in using an aqua painter. 'Blushing Bride' for her skin, 'Soft Suede' for her hair. Her tail was splodged with 'Tranquil Tide and 'Fresh Fig' allowing the colours to run into each other. Once dry i carefully cut her out and popped up on some dimensionals so she stands out from the background. The sentiment added in the top corner is the finishing touch.
